Chapter 11: Truly a Villain, Attacking Without Hesitation:

The duel was approaching!

If she lost, if she died at Luo Xinli’s hands, who would lead the Tianyou Sect against the imperial court in the future?

She couldn’t trust anyone else to take charge of the Tianyou Sect—she only trusted herself!

Moreover, if she died, what would become of the Tianyou Sect’s reputation in the martial world?

She couldn’t afford to lose!

So, recently, she had even entertained a radical thought.

She considered finding a man who met her standards, having him help her enhance her martial arts power, and then... killing him afterward.

But unfortunately, she couldn’t find such a man. There wasn’t a single man in the world who caught her eye!

None at all!

She couldn’t understand why all the men in this world were so useless.

Couldn’t one of them be good-looking?

Or at least have some skill or charm?

Couldn’t one of them make her feel even the slightest bit of affection?

The thought of dual cultivation with a man she found completely unappealing was something she could never bring herself to do, even if it killed her!

So, her mood had been rather gloomy lately.

And with the imperial court having just wiped out the 138th division of the Tianyou Sect, her mood had become even darker.

She sighed softly as she looked at the hot spring in front of her. Then, she began to undress.

The blood-red silk dress slipped gently from her snow-white shoulders...

But just as it slid halfway down, a voice suddenly sounded from behind her.

“Ahem... While it’s quite a sight, I’m not in the habit of peeping!”

The voice coughed awkwardly. “Of course, if you know I’m here and still want to undress, I have no objections! That wouldn’t count as peeping then!”

Hearing this voice, Ling Youruo’s eyebrows furrowed sharply!

In the next instant, she swiftly pulled her silk dress back up, turned around, and struck out with her palm!

A blood-red palm print shot out, aiming directly at the figure reclining on the wall.

That figure was, of course, Ling Ye!

Faced with Ling Youruo’s attack, Ling Ye merely raised his hand and met it head-on!

As her palm strike approached within half a meter of him, it dissipated completely. The force left no trace, like a speck of dust falling into the ocean, not even creating a ripple!

Ling Ye then glanced over at her.

By now, Ling Youruo had already put on her red dress and had once again donned her fox-like blood-red mask.

“You’re so beautiful, so why wear a mask like you’ve got something to hide?” Ling Ye took a swig from the wine flask in his hand.

Below, Ling Youruo’s eyes beneath the mask were cold.

Who was this person?

Where did he come from?

She didn’t bother asking!

Whoever it was, approaching her without permission meant death!

And this person had not only trespassed but had also seen her half-undressed.

Of course, he deserved to die!

Ling Youruo reached out her delicate hand, and a slender sword flew out from her garden chamber, landing in her grasp.

Clang!

In the next moment, she drew the sword!

But before she could fully unsheathe it, Ling Ye had already moved in front of her, pressing down on the hilt of her sword, forcing the blade back into its scabbard!

The speed with which he moved made Ling Youruo’s eyebrows furrow even more.

She attempted to draw her sword again!

But... she couldn’t move it!

Ling Ye’s hand was pressing down on the sword hilt as if it weighed a thousand tons, making it impossible for her to draw it.

So, she lightly tapped the ground with her toes, and her body flew back gracefully.

As she retreated, she drew her sword in mid-air and slashed out with it!

A blood-red sword aura burst forth!

Facing this sword strike, Ling Ye still maintained his calm smile.

He formed a sword gesture with his fingers and pointed upward!

Buzz!

Ling Youruo’s sword aura, as if controlled by him, suddenly turned upward, shooting into the sky. It exploded in the night sky like blood-red fireworks!

This sudden commotion made everyone on the island look up in curiosity.

Was the Demon Queen... practicing her swordsmanship?

In the garden, after swinging her sword, Ling Youruo landed lightly on the ground.

As soon as her feet touched the ground, she tapped her toes again and thrust her sword forward!

There was no pause, no hesitation!

The sword seemed to tear through the very fabric of space, aiming directly at Ling Ye!

But as the sword’s point neared within half a foot of Ling Ye’s throat, he caught it between his fingers with a sharp ding!

He held it firmly between just his index and middle fingers!

“Quite ferocious, aren’t you?” Ling Ye chuckled softly.

Truly befitting a villainess—attacking without a word!

If it had been an ordinary person, they would have had their throat pierced by now.

Fortunately, Ling Ye was no ordinary person!

Ling Youruo still said nothing, preparing to pull her sword back for another attack!

But at that moment, her sword couldn’t move an inch.

Ling Ye’s two fingers held the blade as if they were iron clamps, preventing her from retrieving it no matter how much force she applied!

Then, Ling Ye’s fingers trembled slightly against the sword blade.

Buzz!

Immediately, the entire sword emitted a trembling sound!

The force reverberated through the sword, causing Ling Youruo’s hand to go numb. She had to release the hilt, retreating a short distance!

Beneath her mask, her expression turned serious.

She now realized that this person’s strength was... far above her own!

And not just by a little!

She had already established herself as unmatched in the martial world, with no equal in sight. Except for Luo Xinli, she had no rivals!

But now, suddenly, there was someone whose power far surpassed her's?

Who was this person?

Where did he come from?

What were his intentions?
