Chapter 14: Ling Kong Must Have a New Love:
"Ling Kong! How dare you hold her hand?" Xia Yuran nearly shouted. It wasn’t just that he held her hand; he did it on purpose right in front of her.
What was he trying to show her?

Xia Yuran wanted to explode, but she held back, determined not to lose to Ling Kong. She immediately called out, "Brother Li, catch up to them, carrying me!"

The group entered the icy cave, where the water and stone walls were covered in frost, transforming the place into an ice world.
Ling Kong stopped, and raised his gaze to the icy cliff across from them. There was an ice cave, and a small furry head was resting on the ice at the edge, asleep. It was an Ice Phantom Wolf cub!

The Ice Phantom Wolf cub had snow-white fur with hints of icy blue around its ears and eyes. It was both adorable and noble. Ling Kong immediately thought of Jiang Ruoxi. This little creature matched her perfectly. The original novel was ridiculous, giving such a fitting pet to Xia Yuran instead of Jiang Ruoxi? He had to have it. There was no way he was giving it to Xia Yuran!
Ling Kong released Jiang Ruoxi’s hand and drew his sword.
