Chapter 63: Chen Bansheng is a Liar?:

'Does Bai Qingzhi regretting also generate destiny points?'

Lu Yu was slightly surprised but didn't dwell on it.

After all, this woman had no significance in his life. If anything, she was just another person to keep in check.

As time passed, the atmosphere became lively.

Once all the guests arrived, Li Guohua gave a brief speech to thank everyone for coming.

After that, the guests mingled freely, gathering in small groups to chat, eat, and drink.

Because of Li Xiaorou, Lu Yu and Qin Sisi found themselves mingling with the rich second generation.

The topic of conversation naturally shifted to Lu Yu's skills in feng shui and face reading.

Most of the young elites were fascinated, though a few, like Zhou Yuwen and Wei Ziling, remained skeptical.

Lu Yu noticed their hesitation and provided each with some advice—Zhou Yuwen about avoiding impending misfortune and Wei Ziling about potential emotional conflicts that could turn violent.

Though they nodded in agreement, they were internally dismissive, doubting that such misfortunes would actually befall them.

Seeing their skepticism, Lu Yu didn’t push the matter further. He simply sipped his wine and continued chatting with Su Qingyue, who stood beside him.

Despite Su Qingyue's cold demeanor and undeniable beauty, she was captivating.

Unlike Qin Sisi, who was the epitome of a young heiress, Su Qingyue carried the aura of a true cold queen—a CEO in every sense of the word.

Just then, Lu Yu’s system chimed in:

[Ding! You have successfully established contact with the key character 'Su Qingyue.']

[You have now contacted 2 out of 3 key characters.]

As Su Qingyue walked by, Lu Yu subtly brushed against her snow-white arm.

The system reacted immediately, confirming his suspicion—Su Qingyue was undoubtedly one of the heroines in this plot.

Satisfied, Lu Yu shifted his attention to Chen Bansheng.

He picked up a glass of champagne and told Qin Sisi, "Stay here and have fun with them. I’m going to check on something."

"Mmm, sure!" she replied cheerfully.

Meanwhile, in a secluded corner of the room, Wu Xianqiang was in serious conversation with Chen Bansheng and Bai Qingzhi.

Wu Xianqiang, a man of influence, was discussing a minor issue with Chen Bansheng.

"As long as the building materials meet the standards, this little favor is something I can easily handle." Wu Xianqiang assured Chen Bansheng.

"Thank you, Uncle Wu." Chen Bansheng replied, a smile on his face. Bai Qingzhi, too, seemed relieved.

"By the way, Xiao Chen," Wu Xianqiang continued, "my company has been facing some trouble lately. I’ve been waking up with splitting headaches every morning. Could you help me with that?"

Chen Bansheng, having previously helped Wu Xianqiang with feng shui, nodded confidently. He examined Wu Xianqiang’s palm and studied his face, ready to give his assessment.

But before Chen Bansheng could say a word, a playful voice interrupted from the side. "Yo, Master Chen, are you spreading lies again?"

Everyone turned to see Lu Yu approaching with a glass of champagne, a smirk on his face. "Mr. Wu, this brat is a fraud. Don’t let him fool you."

The room fell silent.

Chen Bansheng’s heart skipped a beat, sensing trouble.

"What did you just say?" Chen Bansheng asked, his voice tense.

Lu Yu maintained his smile but didn’t respond immediately.

However, Wu Xianqiang wasn’t pleased, and questioned: "You’re Lu Mingyuan’s son, aren’t you?"

"That’s right." Lu Yu replied.

"I’ve heard about you—how you tried to steal a girlfriend from Xiao Chen…" Wu Xianqiang started.

"Haha, let’s not talk about the past." Lu Yu interrupted, feeling slightly awkward but unbothered. He then sat down on the sofa opposite Chen Bansheng and his group.

Wu Xianqiang wasn’t interested in petty arguments. "Okay, let’s get to the point. You called Xiao Chen a fraud. Do you even know our relationship?"

"I know a little bit." Lu Yu responded.

Wu Xianqiang’s eyes narrowed. "Since you know, I’ll overlook your rudeness this time, out of respect for your father. But if you dare to slander anyone again, I won’t hesitate to put you in your place!"

Just then, Lu Mingyuan’s voice rang out from behind, "And who are you threatening to put in their place, Mr. Wu?"

Lu Mingyuan entered the room, flanked by three wealthy associates. He cast a cold glance at Wu Xianqiang.

Wu Xianqiang snorted. "You know very well."

Lu Mingyuan wasn’t intimidated.

He sat down with his friends on the opposite side. "Are you threatening my son in front of me, Mr. Wu? That’s not very wise."

"Your son was the one spouting nonsense first!" Wu Xianqiang retorted.

"Nonsense?" Lu Mingyuan raised an eyebrow, clearly unaware of what had happened.

Lu Yu quickly recounted the conversation.

After hearing his son’s account, Lu Mingyuan chuckled. "So that’s what this is about. Mr. Wu, do you really think this kid, Surname Chen, is some kind of feng shui master? We should talk."

"What do you mean by that?" Wu Xianqiang asked, puzzled.

"Well, let me tell you, my son also is interested in feng shui, and he’s quite skilled. If he’s calling this Chen kid a fraud, there’s probably some truth to it." Lu Mingyuan said, now fully confident in Lu Yu’s abilities.

"Oh? Your son can read feng shui too?" Wu Xianqiang asked in surprise.

Bai Qingzhi and Chen Bansheng were equally stunned.

Could it be true?

Was Lu Yu, the same person they had dismissed as useless, really capable of such things?

And hadn’t Lu Guohua’s illness been cured by him?

Could Lu Yu actually possess these abilities?

"It’s true," confirmed one of the rich men sitting next to Lu Mingyuan. "I’ve seen it myself. Lu Yu even knew the year of my first love, something even my wife doesn’t know. His abilities are no joke."

Another wealthy guest chimed in, "I can vouch for him as well. Lu Yu’s skill is nothing short of masterful."

Wu Xianqiang, now intrigued, asked, "Is that so?"

"Have I ever lied to you, Mr. Wu?" The wealthy man countered.

Sensing an opportunity, Lu Yu smiled mysteriously. "Mr. Wu, do you know why I called this brat a fraud?"

"I’d like to know." Wu Xianqiang replied, his curiosity piqued despite his loyalty to Chen Bansheng.

Lu Yu took his time, then explained, "Feng shui and face reading are meant to help people, to bring balance and harmony. But when someone abuses these practices for personal gain, they’re nothing but a disgrace."

He then looked at Wu Xianqiang directly, "Let me guess—recently, you’ve been feeling fatigued, struggling with insomnia, experiencing headaches, and feeling drowsy all day?"

"Yes! But how did you know?" Wu Xianqiang asked, shocked.

Lu Yu continued, "I’m certain it’s due to the feng shui in your home being tampered with—excessively."

Wu Xianqiang’s eyes widened as he connected the dots. He had just discussed these symptoms with Chen Bansheng moments ago.

"It seems like you’re beginning to understand," Lu Yu said, his smile widening. "Chen Bansheng has been using his knowledge of feng shui to manipulate your home’s energy for his own gain. He’s nothing but a fraud."

Finally, Chen Bansheng could take no more. He slammed his fist on the table. "Lu Yu, that’s enough! You’re making baseless accusations!"

"Am I?" Lu Yu retorted, his tone cold. He extended his hand, and a villa servant respectfully handed him a small device, an MP4 player.

Lu Yu turned it on, located the correct file, and tossed it onto the coffee table in front of everyone. "Then explain what’s on this video."

Chen Bansheng hesitated, then reluctantly picked up the device.

As the video played, his expression rapidly changed from anger to shock.
