Chapter 39: Could It Be... She Released It?:
Hearing Ling Ye's words, both Ji Ziru and Su Xingyue were confused.
A storm?
What storm?
And how did Ling Ye seem to know everything?
Even Ji Ziru was unaware that a Divine Emperor Realm beast was sealed in the forbidden area of the Purple Moon Immortal Sect.
It was done by the previous sect master and never disclosed to the members of the sect.
Despite not understanding Ling Ye's words, Ji Ziru quickly followed his instructions to gather all the disciples at Purple Moon Peak.
In the depths of the Purple Moon Immortal Sect, within the forbidden area, a panicked figure fled from the deep abysses. It was Gu Shengyan!
"What is happening?" She wondered as she looked back at the mysterious, deserted area. Out of curiosity, she had entered the place and tinkered with some things inside.
Suddenly, there was a disturbance as if something was trying to break free. She quickly ran out.
Boom!!!
Another loud explosion echoed, shaking the heavens and earth.
From the forbidden area, a massive creature soared into the sky, changing the color of the sky itself.
A pair of enormous wings blocked out the sun, and giant dragon claws gripped the mountain peaks. It was a massive silver-white dragon, covered in scales that looked like armor.
Lightning flashed between the scales, and its blood-red eyes glowed with a terrifying light. As it emerged from the seal, it let out a deafening roar.
"Roar!!!"
A blast of hot air shot into the sky, turning into flames.
The beast, sealed for countless years, roared as its first act of freedom, its cry reverberating throughout the Purple Moon Immortal Sect and beyond.
A pillar of flame pierced the inner sect's barrier and shot into the clouds, illuminating everything.
Below, Gu Shengyan was so frightened that she fell to the ground, her face pale with fear.
"What is this?!" She screamed internally, feeling as insignificant as an ant under the massive dragon.
She sat paralyzed, staring wide-eyed at the fiery beast, her limbs weak with terror.
The entire Purple Moon Immortal Sect was thrown into chaos as everyone turned their gaze toward the massive figure.
"What is that? A demon dragon? Such a massive silver-winged demon dragon!"
"What's happening? How could the Purple Moon Immortal Sect have such a creature?"
"The inner sect barrier was broken so easily. What is this thing's power level?"
"What a terrifying aura!"
Everyone was stunned and frightened by the sight of the giant beast spanning two mountain peaks, emitting a dazzling flame.
"All disciples of the Purple Moon Immortal Sect, gather at Purple Moon Peak immediately!" Ji Ziru's voice rang out, cutting through the chaos.
Though none of the disciples understood the full situation, they could see it was serious.
They quickly moved toward Purple Moon Peak, turning the once serene sect into a scene of frantic activity.
Meanwhile, Gu Shengyan sat in terror on the ground before the giant dragon.
How could such a beast be here?
Did she accidentally release it?
She was on the verge of tears.
The silver-white dragon noticed her, its blood-red eyes fixating on her.
Feeling its gaze, she went cold and trembled.
In her terrified vision, the dragon opened its mouth, flames erupting, and lightning flickering over its silver scales.
It had just broken free after countless years and was ready to unleash its fury.
The dragon didn't care how small or weak the creature before it was; it only wanted to vent its rage.
Boom!!!
A pillar of fire shot from the dragon's mouth toward Gu Shengyan.
She remained frozen, forgetting to run, though she knew escape was impossible against such a beast. But just as the fire was about to engulf her, a figure swept in, lifting her up and flying into the air. Her savior was none other than Mu Zihua.
"Master! Master, wuwuwu..." Gu Shengyan cried, clutching Mu Zihua tightly.
"It's alright, it's alright," Mu Zihua comforted her while flying toward Purple Moon Peak. He had no idea that this monstrous creature was released by his own well-meaning but unfortunate disciple.
