Chapter 61: The Uninvited Ye Qianrou:

What was the bloodlight Disaster?

It referred to anything from injuries and accidents to severe misfortune, even death. Chen Bansheng was genuinely frightened.

"What's wrong? Why are you just standing here and not going inside?" Bai Qingzhi asked, unable to hide her irritation as she watched Chen Bansheng stand motionless outside the villa for five minutes.

To be honest, since she found out that she would be attending the banquet with Chen Bansheng for business discussions, her mood had been anything but pleasant.

Seeing Lu Yu and Qin Sisi at the door had only worsened it. And now, Chen Bansheng was acting this way, making her even more annoyed.

"Qingzhi... maybe we shouldn't go in today." Chen Bansheng said, his body trembling slightly as he swallowed hard.

Everyone fears death, and he was no exception.

At first, he thought today would just be a tough day.

But after encountering Lu Yu at the entrance, his unease grew.

Could his bad luck have escalated to a full-blown disaster? Who could stand against such misfortune?

"Why not?" Bai Qingzhi asked, confused. "We finally made it here; why wouldn’t we go in?"

"I don’t know... I just have a bad feeling about today."

"What's there to worry about? It's just your imagination!"

Bai Qingzhi used to trust Chen Bansheng's abilities.

However, after everything that had happened with the Bai family and the Yuan family, her faith in him wavered. "Are you really going to let a feeling stop you from going inside?"

"Well... if you’re too scared to go in, just give me the documents."

"You'll go in alone?" Chen Bansheng was embarrassed. "But CEO Wu doesn’t even know who you are!"

"So what? Are you planning to stand outside until the banquet is over?"

Just as Bai Qingzhi finished speaking, a white Lamborghini appeared, followed by two white BMWs.

The cars pulled up near them, and the door of the Lamborghini’s passenger seat swung open.

The first thing Chen Bansheng noticed was a pair of silver high heels and long, slender legs. Then, a woman stepped out, wearing sunglasses, a light-colored, silk, short-sleeved top, and matching shorts. The top was long, covering most of the shorts, giving the impression that she wasn't wearing any.

"Brother Chen, were you waiting for me?" The sudden voice snapped Chen Bansheng out of his daze.

"Sun Xiuping? What are you doing here?" Chen Bansheng asked, surprised as he recognized the young man who emerged from the Lamborghini’s driver seat. "Didn’t I tell you not to come?"

"Well... my mother insisted on coming." Sun Xiuping explained, somewhat awkwardly.

Li Guohua had little to do with other real estate companies and rarely interacted with the Sun family, who had a less-than-illustrious background.

As a result, Sun Xiuping, Yuan Zhiwen, and Zhang Jingming, who had previously clashed with Li Yi, weren’t on the guest list for Li Guohua’s banquet. But now, Sun Xiuping’s mother, Ye Qianrou, had arrived uninvited.

"Hello, Aunt!" Chen Bansheng quickly regained his composure and greeted Ye Qianrou, having met her before when he visited Sun Xiuping’s home to consult on Feng Shui.

Each time he saw Ye Qianrou, he would be momentarily stunned, as he was now.

Her figure was simply too captivating—no normal man could resist her allure.

"Aunt?" Bai Qingzhi couldn’t help but gape at Ye Qianrou.

It took her a moment to process the information.

Was this fair-skinned, long-legged beauty really Sun Xiuping’s mother?

Heavens, how could she look so young?

How did she maintain such flawless skin? And her style—so chic!

She didn’t seem old enough to have a son of Sun Xiuping's age. Bai Qingzhi momentarily forgot her earlier frustrations, consumed by her incredulous thoughts.

"Yes." Ye Qianrou acknowledged them with a soft, elegant voice as she removed her sunglasses. "Why aren’t you two going inside?"

"Ah, well..." Chen Bansheng began hesitantly, but Sun Xiuping interrupted, throwing an arm around his shoulder.

"Let’s go, Brother Chen. Young Master Wu is still behind us. Let’s head in and wait for him."

Chen Bansheng was caught between a rock and a hard place, but then he noticed something.

With Ye Qianrou’s arrival, the arrangement of vehicles at the entrance had shifted.

As she and her bodyguard walked toward the villa, their presence partially covered the red cloth hanging at the door.

"Could it be that Sun Xiuping’s mother has turned my bad luck into good fortune?" Chen Bansheng thought, narrowing his eyes.

In a moment of clarity, he decided. "Alright, let’s go."

For the sake of his sister and his own dignity, Chen Bansheng resolved to follow Sun Xiuping inside.

Meanwhile, inside the villa, Lu Yu had just sat down to take a break after failing to spot any sign of Chen Bansheng.

To his surprise, Lu Mingyuan approached him with a group of people, eager to witness Lu Yu's skills.

"Son, why don’t you give your Uncle Zhou a reading? Show him what you can do."

Ever since Lu Mingyuan returned home, he had been pestering Lu Yu to help him with fortune-telling.

The results had been nothing short of impressive, leaving even an old man like Lu Mingyuan full of admiration. As a proud father, he was eager to show off his son, despite already being a billionaire.

Among the group, two men were mere acquaintances, but they all seemed intrigued by Lu Yu’s abilities.

"Sure, Master Lu!" said a man around Lu Mingyuan’s age, smiling. "Give me a reading so I can see a true master at work!"

"Hehe, I wouldn’t call myself a master, but if you’d like, Uncle Zhou, I can take a look."

"Please do, Master Lu!"

Lu Yu looked at him thoughtfully. "What would you like to know, Uncle Zhou? Your fortune? Love life? Or perhaps your marriage?"

"Of course, my fortune!" Zhou Dexuan replied without hesitation. "I’ve been working on a project lately, but I can’t shake this uneasy feeling. Can you tell me if the project will succeed?"

"You needn’t worry about your fortune, Uncle Zhou," Lu Yu said calmly. "Your forehead is broad and your brow is high, signs of great wealth and honor. Although your Yintang (the space between your eyebrows) is slightly darker and two small black moles are obstructing your fortune, there’s a good sign in your eyebrows. This means that, although your project may face some ups and downs, the problems won’t be severe. As long as you prioritize your safety, everything will fall into place."

"Oh? Haha, that’s good to hear!" Zhou Dexuan laughed. "I’ll take your words to heart."

Even though he wasn’t sure if Lu Yu’s reading was accurate, Zhou Dexuan found comfort in the prediction.

"Hehe, no need to thank me. I just told the truth."

"Master Lu, give me a reading too!"

"Wait your turn, Old Wang! I was here first!"

"What? I was obviously first."

"One at a time! No need to rush."

With Zhou Dexuan setting an example, the others eagerly followed suit, each addressing Lu Yu as "Master Lu."

These men were all at least on Lu Mingyuan’s level in society, but they didn’t mind lowering themselves to get a reading.

Whether or not Lu Yu truly had the skills, they were fascinated.

Lu Yu didn’t mind either. A quick glance at each face, all of which belonged to wealthy individuals in Rong city, was enough for him to gauge their general fortune.

He casually added a bit of technical jargon, which delighted them, and occasionally mentioned a personal secret he could deduce, boosting his credibility.

The commotion quickly caught the attention of others in the living room, including Li Xiaorou and a few other second-generation heirs.

"Hey, what’s my dad doing over there?" Li Xiaorou asked.

"Not sure," someone replied. "It looks like they’re all gathered around that guy, Lu Yu."

"What’s everyone crowding around him for?"

"Probably getting their fortunes read by Master Lu."

Li Xiaorou took a sip of champagne and casually remarked. Her words left everyone stunned, even Su Qingyue.

"What? He can read faces?"
