Chapter 33: This Is the Ungrateful Person You Invited!:
Yun Bufan was preparing to leave for the banquet. As he stepped out of his room, the door of the next room opened, revealing Shen Qingxin standing in a stunning purple dress.
Yun Bufan's breath almost stopped.
Her figure was absolutely perfect. Her swan-like neck was adorned with two slender straps over her white shoulders. The V-shaped neckline revealed a tantalizing hint of fullness, stirring his imagination.
"What's the matter?" Shen Qingxin asked, noticing Yun Bufan's entranced look. She felt a bit smug but pretended not to care.
"Uh, let's go," Yun Bufan said, clearing his throat. He was now really curious about what Shen Qingxin's face looked like. The novel described her figure as top-notch, and it seemed accurate. It also said her face was extraordinarily beautiful beyond words.
Before Yun Bufan could react, Shen Qingxin suddenly linked arms with him, making him taken aback by her initiative.
"Why are you staring? Let's go." Shen Qingxin said softly, pulling him along. As they walked, Yun Bufan's arm brushed against a soft spot. Shen Qingxin's ears instantly turned red, but she didn't seem to mind.
Yun Bufan thought, "Well, if she's okay with it, then so am I."
Soon, they arrived at the banquet hotel.
Yun Bufan, holding Shen Qingxin's hand, walked into the hotel. Shen Qingxin hesitated and instinctively tried to pull away, but when she couldn't, she stopped struggling.
As they entered the hall, Yun Bufan felt someone staring at him. A quick glance revealed Su Chen not far away. Su Chen was dressed as usual in faded clothes and cheap flip-flops, completely out of place among the guests.
"Miss Bai, why did you invite Yun Bufan?" Su Chen asked, clearly annoyed.
"Do I need your permission to invite someone?" Bai Yuexi, dressed in a white strapless gown, replied. Her gaze shifted to Yun Bufan, and her eyes lit up. Compared to Su Chen, Yun Bufan looked exceptionally handsome in his formal attire.
"He seems to have gotten more handsome." Bai Yuexi murmured, then noticed Shen Qingxin. She frowned slightly. "Why did you bring her?"
Bai Yuexi was displeased. Su Chen added, "Miss Bai, your grandfather agreed I would have the first dance with you."
Bai Yuexi rolled her eyes. "My grandfather agreed, so go ask him to dance!"
Just as Bai Yuexi was about to approach Yun Bufan, a group of people suddenly stormed in. A tall young man stepped forward.
"Yuexi, do you remember me?" His presence was commanding, his features sharp and arrogant.
"Long... Long Xiang!" Bai Yuexi exclaimed in horror.
Three years ago, Long Xiang had proposed to the Bai family. After investigating, Bai Xingkui discovered Long Xiang's violent nature and rejected the proposal. Long Xiang had vowed to have Bai Yuexi. After three years of silence, he had reappeared today.
"Yuexi, I have one purpose today: to take you back to the Imperial Capital to marry me," Long Xiang declared, ignoring everyone else. To him, no one in this small city was worth his attention.
"No, you're dreaming! I'm not interested in you! I'd rather die than marry you!" Bai Yuexi trembled, her eyes red with fear.
"Young Master Long, marriages should be based on mutual affection. Please understand," Bai Xingkui quickly stepped forward, bowing in apology. The crowd gasped. Bai Xingkui was one of the most influential figures in Luo City, yet he was bowing to this young man. Clearly, Long Xiang's background was terrifying.

Long Xiang pushed Bai Xingkui aside. "Old man, it's not your place to speak! In my dictionary, there's no 'understanding,' only 'conquer.' And what I can't conquer, I destroy." Long Xiang sneered evilly.
The Bai family's security guards rushed forward, but Long Xiang was prepared.
With a wave, three elite fighters stepped up and quickly took down the guards. Bai Yuexi was in despair, tears streaming down her beautiful face. Her weeping only fueled Long Xiang's desire.
"You're mine, Bai Yuexi!" He grabbed her.

Before he finished, Su Chen became a blur and punched Long Xiang in the nose.
Long Xiang flew backward and clutched his bleeding nose. "Kill him!" he ordered. His fighters attacked, but Su Chen, the protagonist, quickly defeated them.
"Bai Xingkui, your Bai family is doomed for attacking the Long family member!" Long Xiang roared, his face twisted in anger.
"Shut up!" Su Chen stepped forward, pinning him to the ground. Just as Su Chen was about to cripple Long Xiang's legs, Yun Bufan intervened.
"Wait!" Yun Bufan shouted and stepped forward.
"You're ordering me?" Su Chen glared at Yun Bufan, prepared to break Long Xiang's leg, but was stopped by Yun Bufan's foot. They faced off, and Su Chen realized Yun Bufan's strength matched his own.
Annoyed, he retracted his leg. "Are you helping him take Miss Bai? Is this the ungrateful person you invited, Miss Bai?" Su Chen sneered at Bai Yuexi.
"I don't mean that. I believe there's a better solution. What you're doing will only worsen the situation," Yun Bufan replied, turning to Long Xiang.
Long Xiang, standing up, scoffed, "Who do you think you are to persuade me?"
Yun Bufan stepped forward and calmly uttered a few words: "Bloodthirsty Bone Jade."
But hearing these words, Long Xiang's arrogant instanly demeanor vanished. His face turned pale as if he had seen a ghost, and he took several steps back.
