Chapter 81:

Even ordinary families possessed in the Beiyang continent only a single Heavenly Saint realm expert on the surface, but who knew how powerful their ancestors could be? Perhaps, they possess ancient monsters that had been dead for thousands of years.

Anyway, trump cards were meant to ensure survival and make outsiders wary.

But Su Changyu didn’t care about that.

The Su family had a strong foundation, and they didn't mind showing their trump card.

If one didn’t use your trump card and got beaten up instead, it was their own fault.

In fact, the typical villains in the novels always seemed to strengthen the protagonist by making things harder for themselves.

Su Changyu’s thinking was different from most people’s, which made Bai Jianyao curious.

Women are often attracted to men by their curiosity.

On the other hand, Su Changyu had no special feelings toward Wu Ling; his main interest was the opportunities within the Moon Spirit Clan.

Hearing that Su Changyu was heading to the Moon Spirit Clan's territory, Su Mo and Su Chen decided to follow him temporarily, and planned to return to the Great Holy Sect or the Su family later.

Under normal circumstances, even someone with Su Changyu's status would only travel with a Heavenly Saint Realm expert as guardian, but now he had two Divine Realm experts escorting him—an extremely rare occurrence in the Azura Realm.

"Well then, Holy Son, I'll take my leave. Don't forget about the Great Ancient Battlefield," Lu Wuyia reminded before departing with the Great Holy Sect members.

Following Wu Ling's guidance, the Su family's flying boat headed toward the Moon Spirit clan’s territory. But just as they left the Heavenly Star Cliff, a massive shadow blocked their path.

Boom!

A gigantic blue dragon flapped its enormous wings, radiating an ancient and mysterious aura. Everyone on the flying boat, including the Heavenly Saint Realm experts, turned pale under the dragon’s pressure.

Su Mo and Su Chen’s faces changed dramatically as they appeared outside the flying boat in a flash.

"Who are you?" Su Mo asked and his face was more serious than ever.

A woman in white robes atop the dragon’s head spoke coldly, "Where is Su Changyu?"

"Changyu?" Su Mo asked warily, "Why are you looking for my grandson? If he has offended you, I apologize on his behalf."

It wasn’t that he was being particularly respectful, but the other party's power was terrifying. The Giant Blue Divine Dragon alone was something they couldn’t fight with, even with his Elder Brother.

This dragon was legendary, said to travel through the chaotic universe and soar through the heavens. And now, it was serving as someone’s mount. Just how powerful was this person?

"No need for an apology. I have no dispute with him," the woman replied calmly. "I need to speak with him directly. Show him this, and he will understand."

She tossed a token to Su Mo, who stared at the lotus engraved on it in surprise.

He seemed to realize something and immediately returned to the flying boat and handed the token to Su Changyu.

"This is the Master’s token," Su Changyu said and examined it with curiosity about the woman's identity. Given his grandfather’s reaction, she must be immensely powerful.

Even his grandfather seemed eager to flee from her presence.

His Master knew such a formidable figure?

And that dragon was far more powerful than his Xiao Jiu.

With these thoughts, Su Changyu left the flying boat.

"Junior Su Changyu greets the senior."

The woman in white robes waved her hand, and both she and Su Changyu disappeared from sight.

"Changyu!" Su Mo exclaimed in shock.

"Don’t worry, Elder Brother. Changyu should be safe," Su Chen reassured him. "The dragon is still here. If she meant harm, she wouldn't need to act this way."

Su Mo nodded with a sigh, "Ah, I’m getting old. That move just now is beyond our reach, even if we train for another hundred thousand years."

Meanwhile, Su Changyu found himself in a unique space.

The mysterious, powerful woman bowed respectfully, "Guardian Gu Xue of the Cloud Palace, greets the Young Palace Master."

Su Changyu was taken aback, "Young Palace Master? You mean me?"

"Yes," Gu Xue responded, her tone was cold yet respectful. "Your identity as the Young Palace Master is worthy of my utmost respect."

This respect clearly wasn’t due to Su Changyu’s own power, which he knew well.

So, it must be because of Mu Qingshuang!

The token was a symbol of Mu Qingshuang, and she had only ever given one to Su Changyu.

"Guardian Gu Xue, what is the Cloud Palace? And why call me the Young Palace Master—is it because of my Master?" Despite his experiences, Su Changyu still found this unbelievable.

After all, this wasn’t mentioned in the original novel!

In the novel, Su Changyu indeed had a mysterious master, however, her identity was still unknown by the end of the second part.

So his impression of Mu Qingshuang was limited to her initial teachings and the Na Yuan Tuntian Sutra she gave him.

Seeing that Su Changyu didn't really know, Gu Xue explained, "Just call me Gu Xue. The Cloud Palace’s full name is Heavenly Cloud Palace, and its owner is your master. The Cloud Palace belongs to the upper realm, not to this realm."

"The upper realm?" Su Changyu was stunned.

"Yes. The Heavenly Cloud Palace is among the top ranked in the upper realm, an immortal Dao sect," Gu Xue said.

Whoa!

Su Changyu was shocked.

He had thought being the Holy Son of the Great Holy Sect and the Su family’s young master was impressive, but it turned out these were the smallest of his identities?

Although hard to believe, considering the Heaven Swallowing Technique's extraordinary power, it made sense.

"Wait, why would such a powerful person like my master come here?" he asked.

Gu Xue shook her head gently, "I don’t know. But the Palace Master’s abilities are beyond understanding. She must have her reasons."

As a guardian of the Heavenly Cloud Palace, Gu Xue knew what to do, what not to do, what to think, and what not to think.

When the Palace Master gave an order, it was to be carried out without question.

“Young Palace Master, I cannot reveal too much for now. The Palace Master said that once you pass the Great Ancient Battlefield, you can ascend to the upper realm.”

"The Great Ancient Battlefield?" Su Changyu pondered. "Even Master is concerned about it. Does it hide some secret?"

The Great Ancient Battlefield opened once every thousand years, a place where the top talents of the three major Dao domains clash. The requirement to enter was being under a hundred years old, making it a gathering place for the top talents of each domain.

And there were only three months until the next opening.

"The Palace Master did not say," Gu Xue showed a seed-like object. "The Palace Master instructed that you place this seed in the river at the end of the Great Ancient Battlefield."

Su Changyu examined the seed.

"System, what is this?"

[A seed]

'...I understand that!"

Seeing Su Changyu accept the seed, Gu Xue asked, "Do you have any other questions, Young Palace Master?"

"I have many questions, but the key seems to be the Great Ancient Battlefield," Su Changyu sighed. "I understand… but being told I’m the Young Palace Master of an upper realm divine palace doesn’t feel real yet."

Gu Xue said, "The Palace Master said I could grant you one wish when I find you."

"A wish?" Su Changyu rubbed his chin. "Anything?"

"Yes, anything you desire."

Could he have that dragon outside?

No, that might be a bit much.

So, Su Changyu thought for a moment and calmly replied, "Then, destroy the whole Ancient Moon Sect."
