Chapter 48: CEO Yun, a Beautiful Woman is Looking for You:
Yun Bufan shrugged, "All her features match."
"Yangyang, do you have a butterfly-shaped birthmark on your thigh?" he asked.
Yangyang blushed, "How did you know that?"
She then looked at He Sinian in shock, "Is this man really my father?"
Yun Bufan suggested, "A paternity test will clear things up."
He Sinian was overwhelmed with emotion, and nodded vigorously. He grabbed Yangyang's hand, "Child, let's go for a test! If you are my daughter, I will make up for the 17 years I've missed!"
Yangyang was bewildered but felt a sense of warmth toward He Sinian. She trusted Yun Bufan wouldn't deceive her.
As the three were about to leave, Su Chen and Qin Bing burst in. Su Chen grabbed Yun Bufan by the collar, "You scum, I'll beat you to death!"
Yun Bufan remained calm, his expression serene. Everything was going according to his plan.
"Su Chen, what are you doing?"
"Senior Brother, stop!" He Sinian and Yangyang intervened simultaneously.
"Yangyang, this trash is trying to sell you to an old man! I'll protect you!" Su Chen declared.
Both He Sinian and Yangyang's faces darkened at the remark. Old man? He Sinian's lips twitched.
"Su Chen, do you really think I'm that kind of person?" He Sinian scoffed coldly. "It seems we have no reason to see each other again. Don't come to me for anything."
"Senior Brother, you misunderstand! Brother Yun is helping me! This Mr. He might be my biological father!" Yangyang quickly explained.
"What?" Su Chen was dumbfounded.
Qin Bing grabbed Yangyang, "Why do you believe him?"
Yun Bufan pushed Su Chen away and straightened his clothes, teasing, "If you don't believe me, let's all go to the test center and wait for the results."
He sighed deeply, "I've put a lot of effort into helping Mr. He find his daughter. I didn't expect to be misunderstood. Sigh!"
Yangyang felt guilty, "Brother Yun, don't be mad. I know you're a good person."

He Sinian waved his hand, "Enough, let's go to the testing center now."
The group went to the paternity test center. After about two hours, the results were out.
"Father-daughter relationship probability: 99%!"
With tears in his eyes, He Sinian hugged Yangyang, "Daughter! I've been looking for you for seventeen years! You're finally back!"
Yangyang's eyes reddened, "Dad!"
Seeing the father-daughter reunion, Qin Bing looked awkwardly at Yun Bufan. Yun Bufan smiled faintly, "It's okay, you were just worried about Yangyang."
"You're not mad at me?" Qin Bing's favorability toward Yun Bufan increased.
"Impossible! Absolutely impossible!" Su Chen's face was ashen, unwilling to accept reality.
"Xiao Chen, we indeed misunderstood him," Qin Bing sighed. "I've told you not to let hatred cloud your judgment. Yet, you keep making mistakes, making me disappointed. Apologize to him."
Su Chen clenched his fists, wanting to strangle Yun Bufan. Even his Senior Sister was blaming him now, all because of Yun Bufan.
"Apologize? Never!" Su Chen roared and stormed out.
Suddenly, He Sinian knelt and kowtowed to Yun Bufan, "Bufan, thank you! Without you, I would never have found my daughter!"
Yangyang knelt beside him. Yun Bufan quickly helped them up, "Helping others is my passion," he said shamelessly.
"Bufan, I will never forget your great kindness. From now on, you are my brother. If you need anything, I'll give my life for you," He Sinian declared firmly.
But Yangyang pouted, "If you're brothers, what does that make me? That's taking advantage of me!"
This remark made everyone laugh, easing the tension.
Afterward, He Sinian wanted to treat Yun Bufan to a meal, but Yun Bufan declined and returned to his company.
As soon as he arrived, Zhen Xiaoxiao ran over, "CEO Yun, a beautiful woman is looking for you."
"A beautiful woman?" Yun Bufan frowned. Could it be Bai Yuexi?
As he lifted his foot, Zhen Xiaoxiao looked at him curiously, "Didn't anything happen today?"
"No, everything's fine," Yun Bufan said, and headed into his office.
"Eh? That's impossible!" Zhen Xiaoxiao was puzzled. How could Ice Sister let him off?
(Inside his office)
Yun Bufan saw a graceful figure standing by his desk. Hearing footsteps, the woman turned around.
"Miss Xia?" Yun Bufan immediately knew her purpose when he saw Xia Xue.
Xia Xue looked unhappy, "Yun Bufan, didn't you say you would help me? Where's the dirt on Su Chen?" She extended her delicate hand.
Yun Bufan scratched his head, "Such things take time. It's not like it can happen instantly."
Xia Xue snorted, "I don't care. You have to help me. My grandfather is forcing me into marriage again, saying if I don't agree, I'm being unfilial. He's even invited Su Chen to our house this Saturday, and he'll definitely bring up the engagement again!"
Xia Xue's face turned red with anger, "It's all because of your call that I contacted Su Chen, making him think there's still a chance between us. You must take responsibility!"
Yun Bufan sighed, "I will take responsibility."
Realizing his words could be misinterpreted, he quickly added, "Don't worry, I'll handle Saturday."
"You better keep your word," Xia Xue said, haughtily, her demeanor that of a spoiled young lady. "Or else, I won't let you off!"
"How do you plan to handle it?" she demanded, hands on her hips.
Yun Bufan rubbed his temples, "Don't worry about how I'll do it. Just tell your grandfather you've also invited me."
Xia Xue's eyes sparkled as she seemed to understand, "Got it. That's actually a good move!"
With that, she left happily, leaving Yun Bufan confused, "What move? What did I say?"
Unbeknownst to him, Xia Xue had completely misunderstood his intention.
